What started out as an internship for two students from Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture, and two students from Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Fine Arts, has now culminated into a continual collaboration with Ukrainian universities that have produced over 200 research projects.
Students, professors and WZMH team members continue to meet regularly to discuss/critique their work, while further support is offered from Toronto-based and Ukrainian firms. Research topics include adaptive reuse and sustainable technologies for buildings, design for barrier free accessibility, industrial and construction solutions among others.
